A jubilee hype for the co-operative's 125th anniversary
Hamburg's largest housing cooperative, BVE, is celebrating its 125th anniversary this year. "Together for tomorrow" is the cooperative's motto, and the anniversary was to be celebrated together with all members, tenants and their families. We staged an exciting "anniversary carnival" for young and old on the domed grounds of Hamburg's Bahrenfeld racecourse, where there were already circus tents, numerous rides such as a merry-go-round, a bobsleigh run, bumper cars, a summer toboggan run, shooting galleries and many other attractions. The colourful fairground with its wide range of rides and stalls selling everything from sausages, burgers, pizza and ice cream to a variety of sweets was enjoyed by over 4000 enthusiastic guests. An exciting cultural programme with live music and a children's circus rounded off the day, providing fun and entertainment for all.
